Arti Gras 03/10/2012

Arti Gras this weekend.  Exhibited with The Green Bay Art Colony.  THis is the first time this group has been in the show.  We all deem it very successful. The group all donated work to the display and have sold several pieces. All Proceeds going to support youth art scholarships.  Such a great feeling to have work doing good. Naturally, I now have another addition to my personal collection.

Helped Cherie Martel hang student exhibit at NWTC.  What an amazing collection of work.  Over 105 pieces of metal work, wood carving, scrimshaw, paintings, woodcuts and sculpture.  I'm honored be represented with 8 pieces

Under the Canopy 01/28/2012

Well, the art room is now a rainforest. The canopy is low enough that I must duck my head all day. It's well worth it! It's like a room sized play house. Kids are so excited to show it off at open house tomorrow. Check it out at underthecanopy.weebly.com/

What an incredible 2 weeks!  Such wonderful art teachers and terrific kids and awesome projects and incredibly over-active imaginations.

So glad that Kim and Steve could be there to see their work and portraits up and hear the reactions from the reception attendees. Steve has already sold an original which will go to benefit the program at St. Vincent's Children's Oncology to which Kim devotes so much time and love.

So glad that our guests could meet them in person and share their love of art and concern for others.

I'm humbled by the reaction to the over-all show. So thankful to my friends for being there and for those who've made the effort to get to the gallery earlier or since the reception.  I feel that it has already accomplished much in informing and reaching out to others. May it continue to bless others while it's up.

So pleased that Steve and Kim, two of my portrait subjects, could get to the reception and that so many have already seen the exhibit.  Also happy that Steve has already sold a work which will support the Children's Oncology support programs at St. Vincent Hospital where Kim devotes so much energy in Art Therapy. Already, I deem this exhibit a complete success.  Thanks to all my friends for their  support.

The exhibit is up and officially opens tomorrow.  I'm so pleased with the overall look of it.

The best thing so far is that the two local artists I've featured in the exhibit are pleased with the images of them.

The examples of their art shows well with the rest of the exhibit.

Really eager to hear the reactions from the public.

The staff and volunteers of the Artgarage are wonderful.  They are there to help whenever you need anything.  I've volunteered a few times at events this past years, even helping staff the booth at Barnes and Noble at a special gift wrapping before Father's day.
My work is one a new wall there - a slightly bigger space.  We've sold a few pieces and generated some interest in what I'm doing.  I'll be helping at the Summer Art Workshop next month.  Looking forward to that.
